Enjoy my February Top 5 list of things and thoughts that are an absolute must. What’s your Top 5? Share in the comments below! xo
1. Light Therapy Lamp
I got a lot of recommendations to try Light Therapy to help me with some of the depression I’m going through. I truly believe that Seasonal Affective Disorder is a thing, and I realize that I always feel sort of down in the winter, although this is a bit more than “just down”. This lamp is one of the more affordable ones I found, and I really like it so far.
2. Spinning Out on Netflix
What a seriously amazing Netflix series. There’s the perfect amount of relationships stuff, mixed with an incredible insight into Bipolar Disorder. I stumbled upon it at just the right time. The only upsetting part is that it seems that it was cancelled before a second season. But I’ll keep fighting for it!
3. The Masked Singer
Ok, I never watch reality TV, but this show is actually really entertaining. Celebrities dress up in full costume, perform in costume, and the panel and audience have to try and guess who they are. As they get booted off the show, their real identities are revealed. It’s a ridiculous concept, and “only in America”, and apparently also in South Korea, where it originated. But I like having it on in the background while I work, and it’s fun to guess. Also, Ken Jeong is really funny.
4. Benefit Gimme Brow
After trying numerous brow products to try and tame my caterpillars, I’ve finally found one that works! I love this Benefit Gimme Brow gel. It comes in a small, easy to use brush, and the gel doesn’t clump. I love that it makes my eyebrows look clean, polished and shaped, but they don’t look crazy gelled out. If you’ve also been searching for the best brow gel, try this. It’s a hit!
5. Blue Light Blocking Glasses
Y’all have seen me wear my adorable purple Blue Light glasses from Zenni Optical so many times. I’ve been getting a lot of migraines lately, and with all the work I do on my computer, I find that they really do help keep my migraines to a minimum. I only notice that I get migraines when I HAVEN’T been wearing them. I’ve tried similar ones from Amazon, but the frames and quality of the lenses bothered me. I would recommend investing in one pair from Zenni and sticking to them. These purple ones cost me $64, and I’ve had them for over a year now.
