2 months ago, I thought that 24/6 screen time was going to be our foreseeable future. 2 months in, and I’ve realized that this simply isn’t the case. In fact, I think I was so concerned about it, that my kids have watched less shows than they used to. Now, before I jump in, there is ABSOLUTELY NO JUDGEMENT to anyone whose children have had more than “average” screen time in recent weeks. I’m a firm believer in the fact that everyone has to do what they need to do in order to get through this crazy time.
But since it almost feels like we’re (dare I say) thriving during this time, I wanted to share some of the toys for toddlers and little kids that our family really loves. I hope they’ll help your family during this time, and beyond, as well!
Feature Toys:
Button Art is SO much fun, and can keep Miri entertained for a long time in the morning. It’s self-storing and easy to clean up, too!
Enlist a cleaning helper with the Born Toys Cleaning Set. Miri was my best helper for Passover cleaning!
What Should Darla Do is a You-Choose book, so the kids get involved. There are 8 stories in 1, and it’s a great book to read together.
If you have a swing set, you need the Back to Back Glider swing. It is perfect for kids who fight over swings!
The See Thru Garden was fun to do together, and it’s fun to watch how the veggies grow! I love it too.
I’ve set up our play spaces in a more accessible and kid-friendly way, so these trays are great to display toys on. They’re also great for messy toys, like Mad Matter.
The My Big Day busy book is great. Both of the kids like it, and it really keeps them entertained. It is well worth the price. Great for a wide range of ages too.
