As a bigger-busted woman, I’ve always struggled to find the perfect bra. I always find that by the end of the day, I’m dying to let the ladies run free. At the the beginning of quarantine, I decided that I needed to find a bra that was more comfortable for every day lounging. Cue: The Harper Wilde Bliss Bralette and the Spanx Breast of Both Worlds Reversible Comfort Bra.I discovered the Breast of Both Worlds bra after I had already fallen in love with the Bliss Bralette, and they both have different features that make them desirable comfort bras. I now have both of them in my rotation! If you’re trying to decide between the two or why you need both (!), let me break it down for you.
The Harper Wilde Bliss Bralette
When I first tried this on, I couldn’t believe it. I’m a size 38G for reference (I haven’t been a 36B since the 4th grade), so I never thought a bralette was in my cards. Magically, the Bliss Bralette somehow holds your ladies up, and really keeps them in one place! It’s definitely NOT like wearing a regular underwire/push-up bra, but they are up enough to be able to go in public and to feel comfortable with the state of your chest.
Bliss Pros:
- SO COMFORTABLE
- No underwire
- You don’t have a uni-boob. Both breasts are defined.
- Comfortable straps
- Excellent for sleeping
- Perfect for nursing
- Deep v-neck if you need one
- Supportive under band
- Fits a WIDE range of bra sizes (up to 3XL) and I wear a 2XL for reference as a 38G.
- Good price point — $45 and cheaper if you buy a bundle.
Bliss Cons:
- No padding
- I found that it does begin to stretch out a bit after 2-3 washes, but still totally functional.
- Doesn’t give your breasts any sort of shape.
- Not as “perky” as some other bras.
Overall, I LOVE this bra, despite some of the cons. If you’re looking for a nursing bra, sleeping bra or a lounging bra, then this is for you. If you’re looking for a bit more support, or are larger chested, then take a look at the Spanx Breast of Both Worlds Comfort Bra below.
Spanx Breast of Both Worlds Reversible Comfort Bra
And in comes the pinch hitter: the Spanx Breast of Both Worlds REVERSIBLE Comfort Bra. I came across it in an Instagram ad, and I am so glad that I did. It was everything that I felt was lacking in the Harper Wilde Bliss Bralette. Let me break this down.
Breast of Both Worlds Pros:
- Offers more support than the Harper Wilde.
- Great for bigger-busted ladies.
- Thick straps offer comfort and support.
- Great for a wide range of sizes as well. I wear a 2X, but could’ve gone to a 1X.
- Lightly padded.
- SO BEYOND COMFORTABLE, but a bit more snug than the Harper Wilde.
- You very clearly have two boobs. No uni-boob situation.
- Boobs have a defined shape.
- Great price point: $42.
- REVERSIBLE SO YOU CAN WEAR IT EVEN MORE TIMES.
Breast of Both Worlds Cons:
- Padding gets knocked off center sometimes, but easily fixable.
- Not as easy for nursing.
- Can’t think of anything else, lol.
SO WHICH DO YOU CHOOSE?
At the end of the day, this is my new breast friend, (get it?!). I wore it for 2 days straight, and then I went and ordered 3 more. If I had to choose between the 2 bras, it would be the Spanx bra because it does offer more support and defining, which I need because I am so large. However, I still love the Harper Wilde, and I’ll continue to keep it in my rotation because it deserves to be there.
Side note: If you feel like you need a real bra with underwire, I tried the new Spanx Bra-llelujah! Full Coverage bra, and I LOVE it. It’s probably the most comfortable underwire bra I’ve worn for a long time. It’s a bonus that it clasps in the front! Game-changer!
Anyway you go, you can’t go wrong, but I hope this post has helped you make the breast decision for yourself. Gosh I cannot stop with the puns! I hope you and your tatas live happily every after. xo
